An abundance of spring wildflowers near Bastrop, Texas. One of those fields that you drive past and say, "Whoa, I need to go back there!"
The changing leaves of a blueberry bush in Alaska, mid-August 2009. Though this was one of the first bushes to turn, fall certainly comes early that far north.
Thunderstorm and poppies at sunset, in Montana de Oro State Park, California. It was really windy when I took this shot, making for a bit of an exposure challenge. Luckily (?) my D200 was in the shop so I borrowed my friend's D300 (which does much better at ISO 1600). I also like this image after running it through a Photoshop watercolor filter, too; both images are in this gallery.
