The window of an old homestead, near Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado. The walls of this place were about a foot thick, to fight the cold (winter temperatures in the San Luis Valley regularly go to 30F below zero). Whoever lived here was really tough!
Mt. Sneffels and turning aspens along County Road 5 near Ridgway, Colorado. My brother called this an "inverse sunset", with strong light on the foreground and the background in shadow.
